Topic: Lack of Knowledge
Today, once again I heard the neocon fundies whinning about how if any of them stand up publicly for their beleifs they are called rednecks, half-wits, simpletons, boobs, or uneducated.
Now these poor dears should know we aren't calling them names, oh no. We are simply pointing a simple fact.
Think about this gang. (I know thinking for you is difficult)
It is said in that wonderful little book "My people suffer from lack of knowledge" {paraphrased}
Not lack of faith, not lack of belief but lack of knowledge.
When you think yourselves as the only way to God, you show lack of knowledge,
When you take the bible as actually history you show lack of knowledge.
When you believe the Earth is only 6.000 years old, you show lack of knowledge.
When you think there where dinosours on Noahs ark, you show lack of knowledge.
When you think that gay marriage somehow will effect yours, you show lack of knowledge.
When you believe that you are a person at conception, you show lack of knowledge.
When you believe there is a devil that is in charge of the secular world and is trying to make you sin, you show lack of knowledge.
When you believe in creationism over evolution, you show lack of knowledge.
I could go on and on. But as long as you stick to the beliefs of people 2000 years ago and don't progress beyond that you show you are what you are being called.
I don't think God won't want belief systems to grow and change as humanity changes.
When your beliefs don't grow to meet the changing world. Its no longer a relationship with the divine, it's a chain of slavery.
