Welcome to my first blog of 2008. Now many have asked me to blog more often and are fond of my opinion. I however have not simply because as my mind processes the events of the past months I come to the same conclusion. I can only think of so many ways to say the same thing about society in this age. The American public for the majority is lazy, heartless, misinformed, over propaganda –dized and devoid of passion. I guess I am seeing what one great writer had said. “There is nothing more rigid, more unbending, the mankind on the road to his own destruction.”
I don’t know if I feel angry or disappointed or saddened or simple pity. Maybe all four, maybe none of the above.
Honestly, what I see is that we are in the middle of a revolution or at least we are suppose to be, at least this is what many people in this country and others are saying. I read the blogs, the boards, the groups and newsletters. I listen to the radio broadcasts and the podcasts. I see the occasional vigils and protests, however small they may be. However as I see it this is the problem. What’s going on is not even close to a revolution. It’s a small squeaky wheel that’s barely worth being oiled. There are many reasons that there is no revolution, these reasons are slowly destroying any real hope from the future from the inside. Some who will read this blog and my new blog on my website may be offended. For those who are offended by this I say, good. This is meant in every form to offend you.
Everybody is out writing blogs, newsletters, posting on boards and groups and making podcasts or waiting to bitch on the radio. Where these things are good and somewhat productive, information is not enough if no one but the “choir” is listening. There is no hope in people coming to you for the information or even reading it if you hand it to them. It has to be presented in ways that people can’t be ignored. It has to be yelled in the streets and from the rooftops or it must be hiding in forms of entertainment that the masses will imbibe and learn from.
But it’s not. There are just not enough people to care. Even I have giving up on the corner vigil. (Mostly because of my health) But partly because it’s just shouting at the deaf.
So why am I blogging now. Two reasons.
First, because I have recently read some other blogs that were just simply rubbish and some needs to set the record straight and who better then me. The Cerebral Terrorist.
Second, because what needs to be done now is to save the facts and truth of our time and transmit them in whatever form to future generations and this is one of the ways I am going to this. So I’m pulling out my keyboard and sharing my superior intellect with this age and the New Aeon.
So stay tune kiddies there is much more to come.
